Video Clip Requests
Thank you so much for choosing us to be a part of this incredible moment with you!
Included on this page is a form for requesting a specific video clip, such as your full-length first touch/first look, introductions or special dances.
Terms & Conditions
Pricing. Clip requests fall outside services and editing time provided within our video packages and will be billed to you through an invoice after submitting the form on this page at $75 per clip. We apologize in advance for this charge! As it takes several hours to complete these requests, it is necessary for us to charge for the administrative time needed.
When to Order. This option is designed for couples to purchase full-length clips of specific moments. As your documentary highlight video will contain a lot of clips from your day, please only use this option after your highlight video has been delivered! With documentary videos, as so much of the creation of the video is driven by the rythym and emotion of the music, we will always place preference in the way your video is designed to ensure we can get the highest volume of clips in your video as possible, but we understand how important certain moments can be and that you may want a full clip of a particular moment, so we’ve designed this option as a way to easily purchase these clips as you would like to.
Footage Expectations. These footage requests are in a more raw form which means that footage will most likely have people moving in and out of shots, cameras navigating around obstacles, camera flashes, and lens focusing — all things that are incredibly distracting to watch in footage.
Video Recording is Not Continuous. With the exception of ceremonies and speeches, video is captured in short clips rather than as a seven-hour video stream. So please note that while we do our best to provide as much of your clip request as possible, submitting the form on this page does not guarantee that your request will be a complete clip or even one that can be completed at all. We won’t know for sure if your request can be completed until the archive files for your event have been pulled. Please know if we find that your request cannot be completed, a refund will automatically be issued for the payment you have made for this request.
Audio. Not all portions of footage will contain audio and those that do will most likely have background noise. We are intentional when recording audio to limit the accidental recording of private conversations and licensed materials. Non-ambient audio is typically only recorded for key moments, such as first looks, ceremony, and speeches, so many other periods of the day, such as when formal photos are taken and during the reception, will not contain audio or audio with heavy distractions or muffling.
Turnaround Time. Please note that these requests will be placed on our editing queue alongside work currently in process and are edited on a first-come, first-serve basis. The typical turnaround time for these requests is six weeks.
Video Delivery. Video clips will be delivered via your personalized video page on our website. (As a note, for files that are larger, such as full documentary footage requests, videos are delivered via our file transfer service.)
Duration of Time After the Event Where These Requests are Available. Requests for these clips are available up to two years after the event. For events beyond two years, please get in touch with us first to confirm availability.
All sales are final, and refunds will not be provided. As with any raw videos, these videos are not always as enjoyable to watch due to the reasons mentioned under footage expectations. Refunds will only be provided if we are unable to provide the clip request at all.
Want to know what goes into our editing process for clip requests?
Step 1: Moving files from our slower archive file storage to faster drives that allow us to pull your video project into our editing software. As video project files require a lot of space (typically 1 to 2 TB per project), files are moved to their own SSD for editing. This ensures editing programs can run smoothly and allows us to view clips in their best possible quality while editing. This process will typically take about 45 minutes to an hour.
Step 2: We begin editing your clip request. Part of this editing includes multicam editing (for requests where more than one camera captured your request), audio enhancements to remove as much background noise, echoing and lapel bumps as much as possible, straightening/cropping, and light color correcting. New files are rendered and optimized to provide the highest quality file back to you.
Step 3: Once your project is complete, a video file will sent to you via our file transfer service or deliver through your video page.
Step 4: Moving your files back. As the last step, we return any changes to your project files, along with the file delivered to you onto our archive storage for safekeeping.
