Photo Manipulation Requests

Thank you so much for choosing us to be a part of capturing this beautiful moment with you! If you are on this page, chances are you’re looking to have a photo manipultated, either by removing something or adding something to it. Below you can find instructions on how to make these requests, along with things to know and frequently asked questions.

How to Order

There are two ways to order, either directly through your gallery or using the form on this page:

• Ordering from your gallery. To order through your gallery, click on the image you would like to have adjustments made to, select the cart icon and select the option you would like to have done under the ‘Digital’ options listed. Each gallery includes a $25 photo manipulation credit. To use this credit, use the coupon code YMJT4 at checkout.

• Submitting the form on this page. If your request has more details or if you are unsure of which manipulation request best fits what you are looking for, you can also use the form on this page to submit.

Editing requests pricing

Tier One Photo Manipulations

• Cropping — Please know that if this is for ordering prints from us, you don’t need to purchase this, we will always resize to best fit when your order is place, but if you need cropping for other purposes we do charge $.50 per image. Please include any aspect ratio requests, such as 8x10 or 5x7, along with a description of the cropping point.

• Blemish/Mole Removal — $0.75 per image

• Teeth Whitening — $1.00 per image

• Face Shine Removal — $2.00 per image

• Stray Hair Removal — $3.00 per image

Tier Two Photo Manipulations

• Object Removal — $3.75 per image

  • For removing backgound objects, such as cars or buildings.

• Background Removal — $4.00 per image

  • Want a picture of the photo’s subjects with a transparent background? This option will remove all background elements, making the background transparent. This is perfect for graphic designs you may be creating, such as signs or greeting cards.

• Background Extension — $5.50 per image

  • Want more of the landscape? This option extends the background of your photo. As it will not change the size of the photo, please note subjects in the image will appear smaller.

Tier Three Photo Manipulations

• Sky Replacement — $6.00 per image

  • Want an entirely different sky? A rainbow added? This option is perfect for those images where the sky is super bright or cloudy and appears more white. Please note sky replacement doesn’t work for every image, so please know any photos where sky replacement won’t flow seamlessly with the picture, sky replacement purchases will be refunded.

Tier Four Photo Manipulations

• Person Removal — $10.50 per image

• Composite Creation — $50.00 per image

  • Let your creativity soar! Want a photo that is somewhere completely different? Want a different bouquet? Add a cat or dog? Add a palm tree or Spanish moss? This option is perfect for you! Available for all session types but for studio sessions, this option turns controlled studio sessions into incredible images in almost any location.

important things to know

• You may see image replacement in retouched images. When comparing retouched images with the original, please note that editing manipulation, while in most cases not obvious to others, will be obvious to you. (Once you know it’s there, you can’t unsee it!) Manipulation will be even more pronounced for images that require data to be created (i.e., there is no reference material in the image to pull from to complete the request.)

• Turnaround Time. The standard turnaround time for image retouching is seven business days after files have been submitted to us through the submission options above.

• Image Delivery. Retouched images will be uploaded to a new tab of your gallery called ‘Additions’ once completed.

• Retouching/Editing Credit. Each of our galleries, with the exception of our mini-sessions, provides a $25 retouching/editing credit that can be used toward retouching, editing style conversions, and black and white conversions. At the time of form submission, you will receive an invoice from us with any available credits applied if these credits apply to you. (Please note, these credits are only available for use by the couple/client and are limited to one use per gallery. Credits are non-transferable and cannot be used toward images from a different session/gallery.)

• Billing. For any editing requests which exceed this credit, you will receive an invoice for payment. Please note that image editing turnaround times will not begin until this payment is made.
